USG of Uterus

Normal Measurements: 

Length : 9-10 cm (body7.5 cm; Cervix2.5 cm)

Width :5 cm

A-P : 3 cm (2-4 cm) {Normal A-P of anterior ”1/2 is 1.5 cm & posterior 1/2 is 1.5 cm.

👉If A-P of Posterior 1/2 more then A-P of anterior 1/2 ,it indicates Adenomyosis. 

Again, if A-P > 4cm, it indicates Adenomyosis.

All above parameters are increased by 1-2 cm with parity. 

👉Endometria thickness: Depends on the phases of menstrual period. 

👉 Menstrual phase>Endometrium appears as_ thin echogenic line. 

👉Proliferative phase>4-8 mm & hypoechoic 

👉Preovulatory phase>6-10 mm(Tripple layer) 

👉 Secretory phase> 7-14 mm & nyperechor van ig 

Endometrial thickness in post-menopausal women about 5 mm. 

Fibroid uterus usg findings :

1. Number : single or multiple 

2. Echogenicity : hypoechoic 

3. Appearance : whroled appearance 

4. Doppler : increased flow 

Fibroid may be> Subserosal Intramural Submucosal
