Preterm LBW:

Rx:

• Diet-NPO
  
• NOP Suction stat & sos
  
• 02 inhalation stat & sos
  
• Keep the baby warm
  
• Apply Hexicord (7.1% chlorohexidine) around umbilicus stat

inj.K-one MM

• 1/2 ample I/M stat OR
• 1 ample orally stat &  3rd & 28th days.
  
  

if Day-1

1. inf.Dextropac-10 (according to wt-not less then 100ml)

• I/V ...microdrop/min

inj.ampicillin(Ampexin)(250mg/2.5ml)

• wt/2 ml (100mg/kg/day) I/V stat & BD

inj.Ceftazidime(cefazid)(250mg/2.5ml)

• wt/2 ml I/V stat & BD(100mg/kg/day)

inj.Oradexon(5mg/1ml)(Dexamethasone)

• (wt * 0.15 ml)/5  ...........I/V stat & tds

if  apnoea

inj.Aminophyllin(125mg/5 ml)

• LD- wt * 2 ml + same amout D/W ..I/V stat 
  
•  MD—0.3-0.4 ml in each 100ml fluid
  

Discharge from Hospital :

Loracef (cefaclor) P/D(125mg/1.25ml)

• 5 drops daily 3 times....7 days

After 15 days of age :

1. Tynisol Pediatric drop(multivitamin)

• 5 drops daily…….3 month

2. Tab.Folison(5mg)

• ¼ +0+0……….3 month

After 45 days of Age:

Compiron Pediatric drop (Iron)(50mg/ml)

• 2-3 drop daily ...1 year
