Neonate Examination:
Examination আগে কি করবোঃ
- Examination এর শুরুতে তার birth history টা অবশ্যই নিবো।
- রুমের temperature ঠিক আছে কিনা তা ensure করে নিবো। অত্যাধিক ঠান্ডা পরিবেশে examination করা যাবেনা।
- Examination এর পর দ্রুত বাচ্চাকে কাপড়দিয়ে আগের মত পেচিয়ে দিবো।
কি কি দেখবোঃ what we see
- Appearance / Colour : Pink (but mild peripheral cyanosis soon after birth is normal.)
- Heart rate (HR) / Pulse : Normally 100 – 160 beats / min.
- Grimace (response to catheter put into nostril).
- Activity and tone.
- Respiratory rate (RR) : Normally 30 – 60 breaths / min.
- APGAR score.
- Lung : Clear / Creps.
- Primitive Reflexes : Good / Average / Poor. (Clinically moro & sucking reflexes are more important.)
- Tissue perfusion / Capillary refill time (CRT) more than (>) 3 sec or less than (10) Umbilical condition - Normal / Meconium stained/ Herniated / infected.
- Temperature
- congenital anomaly
- Back of spine
