- Cervical spondylosis is the degeneration of the bones and disks in the neck.
Clinical Features:
- 1)Tingling, numbness and weakness in the arms, hands, legs or feet.
- 2)Lack of coordination and difficulty walking.
- 3)Loss of bladder or bowel control.
Rx:
Medical treatment:
1. Tab.Naprox(500mg) (Naproxen)
- 1+0+1(after meal),…...7 days
2.Tab.PPI(Esomeprazol) (20mg)
- 1+0+1 …………….10 days
3. Tab.Lexaton(50mg) (Tolperisone)
- 1+1+1 (after meal )….10 days
4.Tab.Amilin(10mg) (Amitryptiline)
- 0+0+1 …………..1 month
5. Tab.Pred (5 mg) (Prednisolone)
- 1+0+1…….7 days(after meal )
- 1/2+0+1/2….7 days
- 1/2+0+0…….7 days
6. Physiotherapy
7. Occupational therapy
8. Surgical intervention
Prevention:
- Stay physically active.
- Use good posture.
- Prevent neck injuries by always using the right equipment and the right form when exercising or playing sports.
- Avoid trauma to your neck.
