Protocols
Clinical Features:
- 1)pain in the back of your thigh when you bend or straighten your leg.
- 2)tenderness, swelling, and bruising in the back of the thigh.
- 3)weakness in your leg that lasts for a long time after the injury.
Rx:
- Rest
1. Tab.Naprox(500mg) (Naproxen)
- 1+0+1…...(after meal)..7 days (if pain)
2. Tab.Myloax/Lexaton(50mg) (Tolperisone)
- 1+1+1…….10 days(after meal)
3. Cap.Sergel(Esomeprazol) (20mg)
- 1+0+1……10 days
4. Tab.Rivo(0.5mg)(clonazepam)
- 0+0+1…...10 days
5. Physiotherapy: Neurodynamics
6. Use Crepe bandage
if severe sprain :surgical repair may be needed
Advice:
RICE Therapy
- Rest : Avoid activities that cause pain, swelling or discomfort.
- Ice. : Use an ice pack or ice slush bath immediately for 15 to 20 minutes and repeat every two to three hours while you're awake.
- Compression : To help stop swelling, compress the ankle with an elastic bandage until the swelling stops.
- Elevation.
