Clinical Features:
- 1)Post nasal drip (mucus drips down the throat).
- 2)Nasal discharge (thick yellow or green discharge from nose) or stuffy nose.
- 3)Facial pressure (particularly around the nose, eyes, and forehead), 4)headache and or pain in your teeth or ears.
- 5)Halitosis (bad breath)
- 6)Cough.
Investigation:
- 1)CBC
- 2)X-ray PNS om view
Rx:
1. Tab. Furotil (Cefuroxime )(500mg)
- 1+0+1.......7-14 days
OR
Tab.Zimax(azithromycin)(500mg)
- 1+0+1........7 days
2. Tab. Seasonix(Levocetirizine) (5mg)
- 0+0+1.......10 days
OR
Tab.Fexo(Fexofenadin)(120/180mg)
- 0+0+1......10 days
3. Antazol(Xylometazoline) N/D 0.1%
- 3 drops each nose 3 times daily ...10 days
4. Tab. Esonix(esomeprazol) (20mg)
- 1+0+1..............10 days (30 min before meal)
5.Tab. Napa extened (665mg)(paracetamol)
- 1+1+1.......3-5 days (after meal)
6. Tab.Rivo(clonazepam)(0.5mg)
- 0+0+1….10 days
Advice:
- Getting plenty of rest.
- Drinking plenty of fluids.
- Avoiding allergic triggers and not smoking.
- Cleaning your nose with a salt water solution to ease congestion.
