Protocols

Clinical Features:

  • 1)Post nasal drip (mucus drips down the throat).
  • 2)Nasal discharge (thick yellow or green discharge from nose) or stuffy nose.
  • 3)Facial pressure (particularly around the nose, eyes, and forehead), 4)headache and or pain in your teeth or ears.
  • 5)Halitosis (bad breath)
  • 6)Cough.


Investigation:

  • 1)CBC
  • 2)X-ray PNS om view

Rx:

1. Tab. Furotil (Cefuroxime )(500mg)

  • 1+0+1.......7-14 days

OR

Tab.Zimax(azithromycin)(500mg)

  • 1+0+1........7 days

2. Tab. Seasonix(Levocetirizine) (5mg)

  • 0+0+1.......10 days

OR 

Tab.Fexo(Fexofenadin)(120/180mg) 

  • 0+0+1......10 days

3.  Antazol(Xylometazoline) N/D 0.1% 

  • 3 drops each nose 3 times daily ...10 days

4. Tab. Esonix(esomeprazol) (20mg) 

  • 1+0+1..............10 days (30 min before meal)

5.Tab. Napa extened (665mg)(paracetamol)

  • 1+1+1.......3-5 days (after meal)

6. Tab.Rivo(clonazepam)(0.5mg)

  • 0+0+1….10 days

Advice:

  • Getting plenty of rest.
  • Drinking plenty of fluids.
  • Avoiding allergic triggers and not smoking.
  • Cleaning your nose with a salt water solution to ease congestion.
