Acute Suppurative Otitis Media(ASOM)
Protocols
Clinical Features:
- 1)EAR pain
- 2)Loss of appetite
- 3)Irritability
- 4)fever
investigation:
- 1)X-ray mastoid towns view
- 2)CBC
- 3)pus for c/s
Rx:
1. Tab. Clacido(Amoxicillin + Clavulanic Acid) (625mg)
- 1+1+1......7 days
2. Tab. Oradin(Loratadine) (10mg)
- 0+0+1......10 days
3. Tab. Voltalin Forte (diclofenac)(5Omg)
- 1+1+1 .....5 days (after meal)
4. Tab. Esonix (esomeprazol)(20mg)
- 1+0+1........7 days (30 min before meal)
5.Tab.Rivo(clonazepam)(0.5mg)
- 0+0+1…....10 days
6. Tab. Rynex(Oxymetazoline) 0.1% /Rynex N/D
- 3 drops each nose 3 times daily.......7 days
7. Supp. Voltalin(diclofenac) 50mg (if severe pain)
- 1 stick per rectal stat & sos
Advice:
- গোসলের সময় কানে তুলা ব্যবহার করবেন।
- সাতার কাটা যাবে না।
- হাচি কাশির সময় মুখ খোলা রাখবেন।
Prevention:
- আপনার ঠান্ডা বা অন্যান্য শ্বাসযন্ত্রের সংক্রমণ হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা কমাতে ঘন ঘন হাত এবং খেলনা ধুয়ে নিন.
- avoid cigarette smoke.
- get seasonal flu shots and pneumococcal vaccines.
- breastfeed infants instead of bottle feeding them if possible.
- avoid giving your infant a pacifier.
