Protocols

Clinical Features:

  • 1)Tingling, 
  • 2)burning, or pain in your feet
  • 3)Loss of sense of touch or ability to feel heat or cold very well
  • 4)Infection 
  • 5)abscess 
  • 6)ulcer


Investigations:

  • 1)CBC
  • 2)RBS 
Rx:
  • Bed Rest
  • Diet: Diabetic diet

1. Inj. Maxsulin -R (100 IU)(short acting insulin)

  • 8+8+6 (+_2 S/C খাবার ৩০ মিনিট আগে অথবা আগের ডােজ অনুযায়ী চলবে)

2. Cap. Fluclox (500mg)(Flucloxacillin

  •  1+1+1+1.......7 days

OR

Tab. Clavusef (Cefuroxime) (500mg)/ Cap. Denvar(cefixim) (400mg) 

  • 1+0+1.......... 7 days

3. Tab. Oradol (ketorolac)(10mg) 

  • 1+0+1(খাবার পর).......10 days

4.  Tab. Sergel (Esomeprazol) (20mg) 

  • 1+0+1...(খাবার ৩০ মি আগে)...15 days

5.  Foot bath- BD


In severe case : All in Injectable form


Diabetic Foot Care:

  • Inspect your feet daily.
  • Bathe feet in lukewarm, never hot, water.
  • Be gentle when bathing your feet. 
  • Moisturize your feet but not between your toes.
  • Cut nails carefully. 
  • Never treat corns or calluses yourself.
  • Wear clean, dry socks.
  • Consider socks made specifically for patients living with diabetes.
