Retained Placentral Bit

Clinical Features: 

• H/O NVD ......days back
• Lower abdomial pain 
• Per vaginal bleeding 

Investigations: 

• CBC 
• Blood grouping & rh typing 
• USG of Lower abdomen : to see retained bit 

Rx:

1. Cap. Lebac ( cephradine)(500mg)

• 1+1+1+1..............7 days

2. Tab.Fimet (metronidazole) (400mg)

• 1+1+1.............5 days

3. Tab.Cytomis (misoprostol) (200mg) 

• 1+0+1........5 days

4. Tab. Rolac (ketorolac)(10mg)

• 1+0+1............3 days (if pain -after meal)

5. cap. Zif 

• 0+1+0...........3 months

If Hb < 10 mg/dl 

• Blood Transfusion 

if no improvement : 

• plan : D& C
