Secondary Amenorrhea

Secondary amenorrhea :

• Secondary amenorrhea is defined as the cessation of regular menses for three months or the cessation of irregular menses for six months. 
  

Causes:

• 1)polycystic ovary syndrome
  
• 2) hypothalamic amenorrhea
• 3) hyperprolactinemia or primary ovarian insufficiency.

Clinical Features:

• 1) missing period for several times 
• 2) Acne 
• 3) Facial hair 
• 4) headache 

investigation : 

• 1) CBC 
• 2) Pregnancy test 
• 3) TSH 
• 4) LH & FSH 
• 5) Serum prolactin 
• 6) USG of L/A

🗒️Rx: (if pg Negative)

Tab.Normens(Norethisterone)  (5mg)

• 1+1+1.......7 days
  

OR

Tab.Orgatril (lynestrenol)(5mg)

• 1+0+1.......7 days

 ৫-৭ দিনের মধ্যে মাসিক শুরু হবে আশা করা যায়। না হলে গাইনী বিশেষজ্ঞ ডাক্তার এর কাছে রেফার্ড করুন।
