Clinical Features:
  • 1)Rapid onset of mild weakness to total paralysis on one side of your face — occurring within hours to days.
  • 2)Facial droop and difficulty making facial expressions, such as closing your eye or smiling.
  • 3)Drooling.
  • 4)Pain around the jaw or in or behind your ear on the affected side.


On Examination:

  • LMNL 
  • Absence of wrinking in forhead 
  • unable to closed eye 
  • Beel's phenomenon: + 

INESTIGATION: NO NEED

Rx:

1.Tab. Virux ([post id="612" title="Acyclovir"])(400mg) 2+2+2+2+2...….7 days(role not estabolished)

2. Tab. Cortan ([post id="479" title="Prednisolone"])(20mg) (< 72 hours of onset)

3+0+0(after meal)..….7 days

3.Tab.Maxpro([post id="392" title="Esomeprazole"]) (20mg)

1+0+1..............21 days (30 min before meal0

5. Physiotherapy : it has important role for correction of any deformity 

Home Remady:
  • Protecting the eye you can't close. Using lubricating eyedrops during the day and an eye ointment at night will help keep your eye moist.
  • Taking over-the-counter pain relievers.
  • Doing your physical therapy exercises.
