Cushing Syndrome

Clinical Feaatures:

• 1) Puffy face,moon face
• 2)obesity,
• 3) weight gain 
• 4)Wasting of limbs, 
• 5)purple striae, 
• 6)hirsuitism 
• 7)Back pain/knee pain 
• 8)acne
• 9)HTN
• 10)insomnia 

On examination: 

• BP: Hypertension 
• DM: +
• Lipid profile :Hyperlipidaemia

Investigations:

• 1) RBS: Hyperglycaemia 
• 2) Serum electrolytes: Hypokalaemia
• 3)serum lipid profile 
• 4)24 free urinary cortisol
• 5)overnight dexamithasone
• 6)plasma ACTH level 
• 7)Adrenal CT or MRI

Rx:

• Tab.Alendronic acid+ Vit D3 (Ostel-D/Bonemass) 70/2800
  

(১ টি Tab ১ গ্লাস পানিতে মিশিয়ে খালি পেটে খাবেন এবং খাওয়ার পর  ১ ঘন্টা শোয়া যাবে না)

• Cap. sergel(Esomeprazole) 20 mg ...1+0+1......1 month

If DM: Rx of DM 

If HTN: Rx of HTN | 

If hyperlipidaemia: Rx of hyperlipidaemia 

surgical treatment :

1)Trans- shenoidal surgery
