Clinical Features:
  • 1)Pain in the upper belly that spreads into the back.
  • 2)Pain in the belly that gets worse when you eat or drink alcohol.
  • 3)Diarrhea or oily stools.
  • 4)Nausea and vomiting.
  • 5)Severe belly (abdominal) pain that may be constant or that comes back.
  • 6)Weight loss.


Investigation:
  • 1)CBC
  • 2)RBS
  • 3)SERUM Lipase
  • 4)serum amylase
  • 5)Usg of W/A 
  • 6)SERUM Electrolyte
Rx:
Diet: Avoid fatty food ,cheaps

1.Tab. Furoclav ([post id="404" title="Cefuroxime+Clavulanic-Acid"]) (500 mg) 1+০+1..14 days

2.Tab. Zymet(pancreatin) (325mg) 1+1+1..…..continue

3.Cap. maxpro([post id="392" title="Esomeprazole"]) (20mg) 1+০+1......15 days

4.Cap. Anadol([post id="453" title="Tramadol-Hydrochloride"]) (100mg) 1+০+1( after meal )...if pain

if chronic pain 
  • Tab.Amilin([post id="477" title="Amitriptyline"]) (10mg) 0+0+1 …..2 months
  • cap.[post id="498" title="Pregabalin"](25 mg)...1+0+1.....2 month


 Advice:
  • Avoiding alcohol. The most important thing you can do is stop drinking alcohol, even if it isn't the cause of your condition. 
  • Stopping smoking. If you smoke, you should stop. 
  • Dietary changes. Because chronic pancreatitis can affect your ability to digest certain foods, you may need to change your diet.
