Protocols
Clinical Features:
- 1)abdominal pain, especially in the upper right portion of the abdomen
- 2)cough
- 3)dark urine
- 4)difficulty breathing
- 5)fever or chills
- 6)malaise or lethargy
- 7)nausea with or without vomiting
- 8)unexplained weight loss
Investigations:
- 1)Usg of biliary systen
- 2)CT Scan of hepato-biliary system
- 3)Usg guide Aspiration
- 4)CBC
- 5)CXR
- 6)Blood for C/S
- 7) Serum albumin
- 8)STOOL RME & C/S
Rx:
1.Tab. Ciprocin([post id="408" title="Ciprofloxacin"]) (500mg) 1+০+1…. 3 wks
2.Tab. Filmet ([post id="406" title="Metronidazole"])(400mg) 1+1+1.....6 wks
3.Cap. Maxpro([post id="392" title="Esomeprazole"]) (20mg) 1+০+1 (30 min before meal)....... 15 days
4.Cap. Anadol([post id="453" title="Tramadol-Hydrochloride"]) (50mg) 1+1+1 (after meal -If pain)
if abscess is large or no response to antibiotics-Usg guided drainage
Follow up :
- regular check by usg if size is reducing
