10.Urethral Discharge Syndrome(USD)

Urethral Discharge Syndrome(USD) :

D/D: 

• Gonorrhea
• Chlamydia infection
• Myciplasma genitalium
  

Investigations:

• Urine R/M/E 
• Swab Culture for Urethral discharge
  
•  Prostatic smear for gram stain 

Rx:

Empirical therapy:

Tab.Zimax(Azithromycin)(500mg)

• 2 tab stat single dose 

OR

Cap.Doxicap(doxycycline)(100mg)

• 1+0+1...7 days

OR

Tab.Denvar(cefixime)(400mg)

• 1 tab stat single dose 

OR 

💉inj.Tinobac(spectinomycine)(2g)

• 1 vial I/M stat single dos. 

Partner treatment:

• Treat all sexual partners to prevent reinfection.
• Recommend abstinence or condom use until both the patient and their partners are treated and symptom-free​

Advice:

• রোগীর পার্টনারের যদি কোন sign/symptoms না বা না থাকে তবুও তাকে উপরোক্ত চিকিৎসা নিতে হবে। 
  
•  অযাচিত যৌন মিলন পরিহার করতে হবে।
