85. Perioral Dermatitis

Clinical Features: 

• Red skin around the mouth 

D/D:

• Rosacea
• Contact Dermatitis 

🗒️Rx:

1. Remus ([post id="549" title="Tacrolimus"])  ...2 times daily ...2-4 weeks 

2. Tab.Fexo ([post id="541" title="Fexofenadine"])(120mg) ...0+0+1.........7 days 

3.Cap.Doxicap ([post id="590" title="Doxycycline"])(100mg) ..1+0+0.....1 month 

Tab.Eromycin-ds (500mg)([post id="432" title="Erythromycin"]) ..1+0+1...15 days 

3. use Vaselin 3/4  times daily 

Prevention:

1. apply a lip balm throughout the day with sun protection.
2. apply an emollient like petroleum jelly, beeswax, cocoa butter, coconut oil, or shea butter to your lips.
3. exfoliate away dry skin with a homemade lip scrub.
4. avoid picking at dry lips.
