78.Strawberry Tongue

Clinical Features: 

1. white coating also appears on the tongue. 
2. peels, leaving the tongue red, swollen and covered in little bumps
3. Age: 5-15 yaers 
4. Associated with fever , sore throat 

Diagnosis: Scarlet fever 

D/D:

• Kawasaki Diseases

🗒️Rx:

1.Syrp.Moxaclav (125mg/5ml) ([post id="425" title="Amoxicillin+Clavulanic Acid"])

15mg/kag/dose ....3 times ...7 days 

OR

Syrp.Eromycin (125mg/5ml)([post id="432" title="Erythromycin"])

8-12mg/kg/dose...6 hourly ...7 days 

2. Syp. Napa (120mg/5ml)([post id="449" title="Paracetamol"])

15mg/kg/dose....4 times ...if fever 

Advice: 

• Rest 
• adequate fluid intake
