45. Erythema Toxicum Neonatorum(ETN)

Clinical Features: 

1.Develop 48 to 72 hours after birth lasting 1-2 weeks 

2.palm & sole not involved 

3. Vesicopapular erythematous lesion 

🗒️Rx:

1. Reassurance only 

2. if itching or irritant 

Syrup.Ketofen([post id="642" title="Ketotifen"])

1/2 tsf ....2 times daily .....5-7 days 

If 2ndy infection:

Cef-3 ([post id="399" title="Cefixime"]) paediatric drop (25mg/1ml)(10mg/kg/days)

... 7-8 drops....2 times .....7 days

Advice:

1. avoid use any local oil .

2. Maintain hygine
